In this edition of #Barz we take a look at Still Stoned on Ocean a project by Curren$y.
How many New Orleans MCs can say they were on both No limit & Young Money? Not many… but Curren$y can.
In 2002 No Limit signed him as a late addition to the 504 Boyz. In 2004 Lil Wayne signed him to Young Money Entertainment and featured him on the Dedication 2 mixtape.
Curren$y has come a long way since leaving Young Money in 2008. Now the CEO of his Jet Life Recordings imprint, which is distributed by Warner Brothers, Curren$y puts out several quality projects every year. Released on October 8th 2021 Still Stoned On Ocean is no exception. There are several tracks on the 11 track project that are worth checking out. To me the standout tracks on the project are:

- Still Stoned on Ocean
- Brian De Palma
- High!
- The Beach (feat. Jim Jones)
- The One
- Bad Decisions (feat. Fendi P)
- Bal Harbour Brunch
- Freezer
Most of Curren$y’s songs have a smooth mellow vibe with quality production and use of soulful samples. If you smoke weed you’ll love Curren$y’s Music. My favorites on Still Stoned On Ocean are “Angels on the Hood” (love the horns on this song), “High!”, “The One”, and “Freezer”.
